How should I keep my bento box hot and cold?

I just ordered a microwaveable bento box that is two tiers. I plan to put my warm rice and meat on top and my cold vegetables and fruit on the bottom. I start school at 8 and my lunch isn't until 12:40 is my best bet just to keep everything cool the night before meaning make my rice the night before or should i make my meat and rice in the morning and just use an ice pack for everything. How should I keep my bento box hot and cold?
try making your meat and rice in the night since you might not have enough time to make it in the morning. You can just microwave it the next morning. As for retaining heat, you can just pad the top tier with paper towels or something like that to help retain the warmth. I have the same problem but I take the bus so I can just keep my bag close to the heater :D

You can also just ask to use a microwave from the staff room or if any of your teachers have them in their classrooms.
