How do you make a bento box?

After scavenging through my international grocery store, the closest I could come to a bento box with plenty of compartments was a tupperware. Does anybody have any ways to make my own without ordering one of the internet? How do you make a bento box?
Get a nice box.

Fill with bento.

There are loads of them online, or probably locally at Asian stores, etc. too. Check out some of these:

Oops, just saw you said *without* the internet.

In that case, look at your any Asian stores you may have around, or in the kid's lunchbox dept of any kind of store. ...or look at these ideas:

If none of the links in that search mention it, many people just use the fluted silicone muffin cups to separate items in a box of some kind each filled with some kind of bento-type food so they won't mix.

You can buy the simple ones at a kitchen store, etc., or they come in various shapes (especially for kids) at Asian stores.

Cool... that person also has a "bento supplies store locator" on her site that you can use to see if there are other possibilties in your area:

I don't know a lot about bento boxes, but the last couple I've seen were just big tupperware containers, no compartments. The only problem with that really is that you have to be kind of careful what you pack so stuff doesn't get soggy or your flavors don't get all mixed up improperly. I really don't know how you'd make a compartmented one, sorry.
