For instance, are food picks used often? If so, do they have any sort of design normally for age groups at all? Looking for the teen group... ThanksWhat types of containers for sauces, or dividers, ect... are used for bento boxes in Japan?
Food picks are used mostly in bentos of little children. There are cute food picks you can buy in stores. But they can also be used by teenagers. I haven't seen an adult's obento containing a food pick. but I don't think they're not allowed to use it.
Some people use foils for divider. Some use tin foils, but there are various types. Some made of paper, or the ones made of plastic, so you can wash them and use them again.
They also use bamboo leaf-like dividers. I don't know what it's exactly called, but it's a green and kinda looks like a grass. It's made of plastic though. Looks like this:http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/sushi-ut鈥?/a>
For sauces. Most people use a tube type of container for liquids like soy sauce. They come in different shapes and sizes.
