What is the best type of rice to use to get it sticky? How should I cook it?

They do have what they call ' sticky rice ', it's a little different than your regular rice.|||The best rice to use for Japanese dishes or bento is Japanese sticky rice which is a short grain rice. In most Western countries you can buy this rice in the supermarket and it is labelled as sushi rice. Basically any short grain rice will suffice. Wash the rice three times in cold water before cooking as this will remove a lot of the starch and your water should go from a cloudy milky colour the first wash to a clear colour for the last wash.
