Where can I find bento boxes in San Diego?

If you're looking specifically for the boxes, I would venture to guess that the above poster is correct - check someplace like Cost Plus. You could also go online and see if you can order them from a supplier.

EDIT: Found this website that might be of some use to you:

I don't know where in San Diego you live, but there are half a dozen stores between downtown and north county.|||Yohan is a little store that specializes in Japanese sushi trays, tea cups and pots, trays, just about everything in Japanese food preparation and eating. It is in the little Japanese plaza off the 163 Balboa exit cross street Mercury (there is an In and Out Burger right across the street)

If you want a restaurant that prepares food in a bento box, Katsu Restaurant in San Marcos can't be beat.
