What should i add to my fabulous bento box?

i have some peas and corn and a tofu spring roll, what would taste really yummy with these things?:)What should i add to my fabulous bento box?
I must confess, I am not very traditional when it comes to my bento.

When I pack a bento, I usually put a bed of lettuce or spinach leaves at the bottom, because I am addicted to leaves. Also, I feel like some greens help anchor everything in, and prevent rolling around. Then I add my larger things like onigiri or noodles or spring rolls, then fill in all the spaces around them. If my onigiri (rice balls) are filled with something beany or nutty, or my noodles have a protein rich sauce, then I fill the rest in with fruits and veggies. If I need a little more protein, I will add a tahini sauce, or a side with some beans, or something nutty! You have a little bit of tofu in your spring roll, and some protein in your peas and corn, but I don't know how much you actually have of each so you may want more protein than that. It's up to you!

I like to make a healthy sweet treat by mixing dates which have been soaked in a little water with cooked white beans and a little cinnamon and clove. Sounds weird, but it's awesome! Works on its own or as a filling for anything - I particularly like to fill daifuku mochi with it.

For your bento, I would definitely add some onigiri. A simple thing to do would be to mix the peas and corn in with the rice, then form that into colorful balls or other shapes. Or instead, you could leave the rice plain and fill the balls with cooked mushrooms, then sprinkle with sesame seeds. Add some cut fruit, then plenty of steamed or raw veggies to pack it all in nicely, and you are good to go!

This is a very easy way to prepare carrots, which would go nicely with what you have:

Kinpira can be used as a filling or on its own. There are more recipes for different kinds of kinpira and other yummy foods on that same site. Some recipes are traditional, and some are less so. The whole site is wonderful!

Here is a lot of info about onigiri, from the same great site!

Traditional bentou will have meat but I will assume you do not eat any, even fish.

Try onigiri or other rice dish, steamed mixed, vegetables, seaweed wrap, or a fruit, orange or lemon slices would be good
