You're missing the point of the bento . . . it's supposed to be little bits of leftover bites from the previous night's dinner, or little bits of things that are quick and easy to make . . . rice, sushi, salad, tempura, etc. Japanese are keen on eating lots of various foods . . . they are right in believing that food variety helps maintain good health.
