Get a rectangular container, maybe a ziploc case?
Fill half of it with white rice and you can put something on it. For example, furikake, which is flavored powder to add the rice some flavor.
On the other side, you must must must have some tamagoyakis. They are egg rolls. Not the chinese egg rolls, they are made entirely of egg. You mix the egg and poor it into a frying pan. Once the egg is cooked midway, start rolling the egg into a roll and cut the finished roll into one-bite sizes.
Another thing you can add is fried fish. The most common fried fish used in Japnese bento's are salmon. Just cook some in a frying pan and put them in.
And then, put in some fried vegetables like cabbage, carrots, onions, green pepper, etc. Just season and stir some up in a pan and there you go!
