Does a Bento keep food warm?

I asked a question earlier about what Korean kids use to take their rice, steamed veggies and fish/ Terriyaki to school, and someone said a Bento, but does it keep food warm?Does a Bento keep food warm?
you might find an insulated bento-like box, but bento isn't meant for keeping warm.Does a Bento keep food warm?
Well Bento is a japanese box meal, they can be homemade or you can buy them in japanese convenience stores or get them in restaurants, im not sure if it keeps food warm or not, the box is no entirely sealed but it is thicker than tupperware so it might keep it warmer than regular food storage. wikipedia has some info, hope this helps: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bento
I think the kind of food that's usually packed in a bento is served at room temperature anyways. You probably had a lunchbox when you were a kid, and took sandwiches that wouldn't suffer from being unheated or unchilled.Does a Bento keep food warm?
Bentos aren't usually served hot (or cold) but at room temperature.

The food may have been hot when it was put into the bento in the morning, but by lunch time, it's basically room temperature. This is why you choose items that don't need to be kept at a certain temperature - such as boiled eggs, cooked sausages, veggies, etc.
there are two types in Bento box: can keep food warm and not.

if you want warm food, choose the one like this:

The bento box itself does not but the dishes requiring warmth are packaged usually in a manner with a heated pouch and kept separate from the cold packed food.
