I'm looking for ideas for a 5 or 6 year old's bento box lunch (also known as a laptop lunch). I'm going to get the book "Laptop Lunch" but just looking for more ideas. She isn't really into Asian foods so I'm looking for an Americanized version...ie. PB%26amp;J etc.American Bento / Laptop Lunch for Kids?
Little cucumber sandwiches (or Peanut butter and jelly)
Pudding
Jello
Small squares of cake or tiny cookies
Carrots and celery with dip
I think the bento box is a brilliant idea!American Bento / Laptop Lunch for Kids?
My grand son loves anything we put in as long as he has a fruit kabob (we make this on a coffee stir straw) to eat with lunchAmerican Bento / Laptop Lunch for Kids?
Uh, if you're making PB%26amp;J, that's not really bento box lunch, it's just a PB%26amp;J sandwich that you're calling something fancy. Why not try something healthy that doesn't involve jelly? I'd steam a couple of different veggies, baby carrots and little broccoli spears or something, and maybe a little grilled chicken sliced into chunks.American Bento / Laptop Lunch for Kids?
baby carrots
celery stuffed with PB or pimento cheese
deli meats rolled up around a stick or glob of cheese
cocktail weenies
grapes, berries, orange or tangerine sections, cherries
tater tots
crackers %26amp; cheese
hard boiled egg
