It means lunch box in Japanese! What exactly is bento?
bento is from the Japanese. It's a lunch box that have many compartments. They take it to work, school, and etc. And whatever is in the box is what you or someone fills it up with. When I was an exchange student in japan; my exchange mother pack it with a little rice, maybe an omelet or cooked meat, vegetables and little sweet treats for me. So a bento is a lunch box filled with food.
